How to Join
There are two ways to join FAW NSW you can contact a regional group
or you can become an isolated writer.
Annual subscriptions are due on 1 January each year and are paid to the Regional Treasurer where the member attends meetings. Each
Regional sets its own annual fee. The major part of this amount
goes to the FAW State Council as an affiliation fee to cover
administration costs and the bi-monthly bulletin
"Writers Voice".
Isolated writers fees are paid directly to the central
administration.
Regional Groups
FAW NSW has over thirty regional groups throughout the state.
Each group is autonomous but enjoys the advantages of being part of the umbrella organisation of the FAW
NSW. Contact one near you to find out more details or contact the
Membership Secretary.

Isolated Writers
For writers unable to attend meetings because of distance or
disability, there is the Isolated Writers’ Regional (conducted by
correspondence), which provides support, advice, assistance and a chance
to contact and commune with fellow writers.

Writing Fellows
The FAW is pleased to confer on members the designation of
Writing Fellow. This recognises a level
of excellence in writing that has been maintained over an
extended period of years.
Application criteria and details on how to apply for the
status of Writing Fellow are published in
